Chinese scientists find material that deactivates coronavirus - report
Chinese scientists have found a new way to fight the coronavirus, the Global Times reported on Sunday.
According to the report, scientists developed a nanomaterial which "can absorb and deactivate" the virus with a 96.5%-99.9% efficiency.
Numerous pharmaceutical companies around the world have been working for a vaccine and cure against COVID-19 but the World Health Organization warned a vaccine is unlikely to be available in less than 12 months. Over 680,000 people have been infected with the coronavirus and over 31,000 have died after contracting the diseas. The US, Italy, China and Spain are most affected.
