Doctors to start online consultation for patients

Amid coronavirus scare, doctors in Kashmir have started an initiative to provide online consultations to patients and launched a mobile application where people could reach out to doctors by making a call or send messages through WhatsApp.
The mobile application “DAK-HELPDESK” has been launched by Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) headed by a senior pediatrician, Dr Suhail Naik.
The application can be downloaded by people across the region who need online medical consultations either telephonically or through WhatsApp between 9 am and 6 pm for minor ailments and COVID-19 related information.
“The 'DAK-HELPDESK' mobile application has been made available in view of rapidly spreading coronavirus in Jammu Kashmir,” Naik said.
The application has listed mobile numbers of senior doctors with their different specialties for the public reach out.
The doctors' body has urged public at large to stay home to break the chain of transmission of the COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus.
