WhatsApp multi-device support feature launched, it will allow users to use one account on multiple devices
WhatsApp's multi-device support will allow its users to use one account on multiple devices.
WhatsApp has since long been working on multi-device support that will allow its users to use one account on multiple devices.
A new report now shows that feature in detail, hinting at the feature’s rollout to the WhatsApp user base soon.
The peak at the upcoming feature has been provided in a new report by WABetaInfo. The report shows a video wherein the user is able to logout from a WhatsApp account from a secondary device on which the account is running. Note that the demo video showcases the multi-device support on iOS for the first time ever.
The report mentions that the new Log out option will allow users to unlink their device to the main WhatsApp account. The option replaces the Delete account option on linked devices but this could change going forward.
For now, the multi-device WhatsApp feature has been spotted on the 220.127.116.11 beta update. The feature will be available on both WhatsApp app as well as WhatsApp Web.
Multi device with WhatsApp Web will enable users to use their WhatsApp without their main phone connected to the Internet. As for the app, users will be able to connect up to 4 different devices to their main WhatsApp account. WABetaInfo notes that this limit might change in future.
