NEET Exam 2021: NTA likely to conduct exam once, official date to release soon on ntaneet.nic.in

National Testing Agency, NTA would likely conduct NEET Exam 2021 not twice, but only for once this year like every year. The examination date would be announced by the Agency and be available on the official site of NTA NEET on ntaneet.nic.in.

As per media reports, NTA Director-General Vineet Joshi has confirmed that the examination would be conducted once, the way it has been taking place over the years. The official notification would be available to candidates soon. The Standard Operating Procedures, SOPs would be followed by the exam authorities to conduct the examination across the country.

Students have been reaching out to the Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank for a long time urging him to announce the dates for the entrance examination for medical and dental courses. Also, many have been requesting the Minister for an additional attempt this year by conducting the examination twice.

The Education Minister also had said earlier that the government was exploring the possibility of holding the exam multiple times in a year.


In 2020, the examination was conducted on September 13, 2020, at various examination centers. The exam last year was postponed twice due to the pandemic. The exam was conducted in eleven languages- English, Urdu, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Odia, Marathi, Kannada, Gujarati, Tamil, and Telugu.

NEET or National Eligibility cum Entrance Test conducted for admissions to undergraduate medical and dental courses in the country. It is a single entrance examination and the score is applicable for all MBBS, BDS seats including those of Government, Private Medical & Dental Colleges as well as AIIMS and JIPMER. As many as 16 lakh candidates had registered for the 2020 examination. A similar number of students are likely to appear for the examination this year as well.
